Large Antique Victorian Terracotta Pottery
Garden Patio Urn, Stem & Sockel,
circa 1890's.
We are delighted to offer this fabulous & very handsome antique clay fired Terracotta urn, stem & sockel. Garden patio or orangery urn with scalloped & knop stem on a boxed laurel leaf decorated sockel box base. Wide body urn with acanthus leaf decoration to the top rim & undersde of bowl. This urn in superb
weathered condition, remain very solid & very usable. Super heavy weighted
example not to be confused with cheaper moderan reproductions. Great age related
surface iron red patination & some remains of terracotta colour painted finish in places. Super patination with minor chips & dinks in places, all in keeping with it's age. Overall a fabulous urn & plinth that would grace any
country house garden, orangery or would look very impressive as an interior design
statement.
