Vintage Pair of Old Carved Wood Buddha Wall Hangings Gold Gilt with Black (Set of 2)
The two wall panels were purchased in Singapore in 1980. The left profile and right profile carved buddha panels are a set of two Circa Mid 20th Century made in Thailand. Each buddhas profile is hand carved from Suar wood, the relief sculptures depict the buddha's face, brushed with gilt gold finish and surrounded by a black flat paint finish background.
Both of the wood carved buddhas have three skillfully carved wood panels. Great patina wonderful gilt gold color! Each of the two buddhas have been recently outfitted with all new hardware for easy hanging please see photos.
There are 3 additional handles on the top edge of each panel.
Good condition. Wear consistent with age and use.
