Andalusite

New with tag. This is a stunning ring in size 9. The main stone is a genuine andalusite from the Jenipapo mine in Brazil, and the accent stones are white zircon (a natural gemstone, not to be confused by the man made one by a similar name).  The setting is real sterling silver, stamped 925.

The andalusite is a shade of olive-brown-green that has fascinating deeper green and rose colored highlights.  As with most natural gemstones, the andalusite in this ring may have some small inclusions. It is a 6X4mm pear cut stone, and it weighs 0.4cts.  Surrounding the andalusite glitters a row of round cut white zircons, creating a beautiful halo affect.  All of the stones together add up to 0.75cts.  The sterling silver setting shows off the stones nicely.  It has a basket style prong setting and a comfortable under gallery.
