Battles for the Ardennes:
One of the first and one of the last strokes of the German Blitzkrieg took place in the same tangle of woods, river trenches and narrow roads - the Ardennes. Now in a four map set, SPI brings you eight distinct games: four Folio size game (one from 1940, the others from 1944); the 1940 and 1944 ampaign Games (using all four maps) and two shorter 1944 Games treating different stages of the Battle of the Bulge.
Although very playable (and balanced), nevertheless Battle for the Ardennes is built around an accurate order of battle and detailed map set. The shortest game (Celles) can be finished in about an hour while the 1944 Campaign game can provide a team with a long day of tense and exciting play.
