Brand new Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance dash plaque from the 2012 event, which culminated with Best of Show honors awarded to Paul and Judy Andrews' 1928 Mercedes-Benz 680S Saoutchik Torpedo. Enameled brass plaque made by Pur Sang of Argentina. SEE ADDITIONAL PHOTO BELOW.
The plaque features the 1910 swan-shaped Brooke 25/30 commissioned by Robert Nicholl "Scotty" Mattewson, a Scottish expat, and eventually sold to the Maharaja of Nabha. The car, with its witty and sometimes over-the-top special features, made a splash even among the sometimes-jaw-dropping assemblage of Maharaja cars.
Though this plaque is just from last year's event, this plaque has become exceedingly difficult to find. Plaque is in the presentation box bearing the Pebble Beach Concours logo, as given to judges and Concours entrants. (The plaques in plush bags were given to "lesser" attendees.)
Measures 4" x 1 3/4" (10 x 4cm). Brand new, straight from the Concours. Numbered in a limited edition of 1200.
