The Egypt 50 Piastres with a pick number P-70a.8z is part of the family of notes issued in 2017. Its obverse features the Al-Azhar mosque which is located in Cairo. The reverse depicts a carving of Ramesses II in a battle, a granite statue of Ramesses II carrying a crook or heka which is from the Museo Egizio in Turin, Italy. The note also displays stylized papyrus flowers, a prow of a reed boat, and a cartouche with the name of Ramesses II. The 135 x 70 mm paper note carries a watermark that reflects the mask of King Tut-Ankh-Amon. This replacement issue banknote is in uncirculated condition.
