With sales exceeding $78 million, the 2011 auction featured the 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa Prototype, which sold on Saturday for $16.39 million and set a worldwide record price paid for a car sold at auction. Other Saturday highlights included a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT LWB California Spider ($3.355 million), a 1963 Shelby Cobra 289 Factory Team Car ($2.585 million), and the oldest surviving Bentley production car, Chassis 3, a 1921 Bentley 3-Litre ($962,500).
Sunday evening's star was the Whittell Coupe, a bespoke 1931 Duesenberg Model J, which sold for $10.34 million, a new record sale price for a Duesenberg as well as for an American car sold at auction.
