2) ANATOMY OF A MURDER (1959) (Columbia - CL-1360) Music by Duke Ellington from the soundtrack of the Columbia motion picture distribution. American courtroom drama film produced and directed by Otto Preminger. The screenplay by Wendell Mayes was based on the 1958 novel the same name written by Michigan Supreme Court Justice John d. Voelker under the pen name of Robert Trevor. Voelker based the novel on a 1952 murder case in which he was the defense attorney. Starring: James Stewart. Lee Remick, Ben Gazzara, George C. Scott, Arthur O'Connell, Eve Arden, Kathryn Grant, Orson Bean.  CONDITION: Vinyl = Excellent. Cover = Very Good (upper and lower seam splits).

This album is the only LP that features Dr. Strangelove movie details on the back cover with the listing of the entire movie background and photos of the stars: A 1964 black comedy film directed, co-written and produced by Stanley Kubrick. The film, which satirizes the Cold War fears of a nuclear conflict between the Soviet Union and the United States.. Loosely based on the triller novel Red Alert by Peter George, who co-wrote the screenplay with Kubrick and Terry Southern. Music by Laurie Johnson. Distributed by Columbia Pictures. Based on the military trial of the commandant of the infamous Civil War prison camp in Andersonville, Georgia. The drama played for 179 performances from Dec 1959 to June 1960. George C. Scott received critical acclaim for his role of the prosecutor. Songs and score by Henry Nemo. Orchestra directed by Hugo Montenegro. Chorus directed by Robert De Cormier. Directed by Jose Ferrer. LP's are housed in clear plastic LP sleeves. The LP is removed from the cover for shipping to prevent seam splitting unless when purchasing a sealed LP or when specified otherwise.
