"First time vinyl run of a cassette released via Cav Empt last year, the thinking man's inscrutable Japanese noise terrorists confound once again with two near-indistinguishable tracks of ambient bliss. If you know what their name means (look it up - i'm not telling you) or have only previously heard Uguisudani Apocalypse, the much lauded Tokyo underground concept record from last year also, i doubt you'll have been expecting this. Far removed from their highly subversive industrial roots, this has far more in common with the environmental music now commonly associated with 80s Japan - think Yutaka Hirose's Nova, or Satoshi Ashikawa's contribution to the Wave Notation series. There may be precedent for this kind of thing in their catalogue, but it's far too vast for me to know. As beautiful as it is surprising. And that front cover!" - World Of Echo
"The Trilogy Tapes press up the previously very short run cassette put out by Japanese clothing brand CE from controversial noise / experimental outfit The Gerogerigegege. Having braced myself for something noisy, wayward and potentially unlistenable, based mostly on what little I know of their previous works (referenced with Merzbow and other Japanoise acts, even GG Allin (!)), I was very surprised to find two extended moments of total tranquility. Tapping into their home country’s legacy of minimalist ‘environmental music’, a’la Yoshimura / Satoshi Ashikawa, or Masaaki Takano’s cult recordings of water droplets, >(decrescendo) exists in an endless state of stillness, surrounded by the hissing crickets, the gentle hum of the city’s traffic and the occasional appearance of wildlife together with Juntaro’s pensive hapi drum notes. It’s a seamless blend of nature and the human habitat, putting every day sounds into sharper focus, equally engaging or ignorable. Like being briefly plunged into a secluded Zen garden in a forgotten corner of the city, only having to reemerge when the record needs flipping. Music with no beginning nor end." - All Night Flight

When packaging up records that
are non-factory sealed items (as is standard for many import releases)
