Description: Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. ND but assumed 1898 First Edition. Preface by Kenneth Grahame. Green cloth, gilt titles and art nouveau style illustration to front, rear and spine. Profusely illustrated by Charles Robinson in b/w art nouveau style. Frontispiece, pictorial title and illustrations by Charles Robinson, 12pp. advertisements, publisher's green straight-grain gilt pictorial cloth.

Condition: A good copy. Boards clean with light sunning/dust staining to the edges. Slight bumping to spine ends and corners. Minor shelf ware/browning to spine. Internally very good, occasional Foxing and marks. Pages rough cut, nicely aged toned, binding firm with occasional gapping. No inscriptions. See Photos

We conservatively grade each book in an honest and objective manner.

Mint/Fine: - Like new, No faults, appears unread.

Very Good: - Clean condition with no significant faults. Will have a few minor defects.

Good: - Book condition reflects its age, will have some faults, foxing, bumping, scuffing, inscriptions etc

Acceptable: - Well read. Reading copy only. May have significant wear and tear, may have loose pages, plates missing, or external damage.
