The round 1 3/4" diameter piece is crafted from lustrous 925 sterling silver and inlaid with shimmering multicolored abalone shell in a pleasing abstract swirl design. The reverse is lustrous as well, and is highly reflective (it was difficult taking photos without getting some reflection, as you cam easily see!).  Fastening securely with a rollover clasp, the bale is sized to accommodate a variety of chain thicknesses.  The maker's mark in circular form reads:  "Sterling 925 Taxco" and is signed "CGP" in the middle.  Above that is "Mexico" and to the left is another mark that I was unable to identify. Weighs 11 grams. Excellent pre-owned condition, an Estate find, with one notation: there is a little bit of tarnish on the back around the bale and pinback ends, which could use a light cleaning.
