Description: 5x8" photograph nicely mounted and framed in wood frame with a chip along top edge. Signed by 10 members including coach Orwell Moore. Stray pen mark along top edge, likely from one of the signers, else nicely preserved.

Photograph of the first professional women's basketball team, and the first to be inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame, the All-American Red Heads. Signed by 10, including coach Orwell Moore and his wife and star player, Lorene "Butch" Moore, Red Mason, Barb Hostert, and others. The photo also features the team's 9-door 1966 Pontiac.

The All-American Red Heads were formed in 1936 by Connie Mack Olson, the team name due to each of the original players sporting dyed or natural red hair, a necessary sort of publicity for the time. Orwell Moore (1917-2009) bought the team in 1955, growing their popularity, playing in every state as well as Canada and Mexico, and challenging and beating men's teams. The Red Heads played their last game in 1996, and In 2012, were inducted into the Naismith Hall of Fame.
