Victorian, circa 1860. 13.8ins high, 13.4ins wide, 4.3ins depth. Staffordshire Pottery spill vase with a pastoral theme which features a cow, stood on an oval base.
A thistle grows from under the cow.
The piece is titled, 'MILK SOLD HERE' .
Russet and white version. Dull gilt title and embellishment.
Flatback, decorated only to the front.

CONDITION: Good. A few paint losses to the thistle.
Paint losses to the cow's ears.
RESTORATION. Spill vase reglued and join retouched, where it joins the cow's back.
Filled chip to spill vase rim.
Retouched flakes to horns.
