Solid Silver French Repousse Patterned Punch / Chocolate Pedestal Cup

Mid to late 19th Century silver pedestal cup in good condition. This charming little cup stands 2 1/4 inches high from bowl to base , with the bowl measuring 2 inches in diameter. Acquired as French in origin and with no hallmarks apparent other than initials BF this item has minor age related wear with two minor dentings (see photos) . Repousse floral design around bowl above stepped pedestal footing. Possibly a punch cup but size may indicate an even more decadent Chocolate cup. Weighing 1.47 Troy ounces 45.7 grams this is a delightful silver item of the period.
