Incomplete set of 3 (of eight) volumes in the Complete Works of Thomas Macaulay, published for the Kelmscott Society in the early 20th century. 

Unmarked, securely bound hardcovers in 3/4 leather and maroon boards (with gilt facsimile signature of Macaulay in front and top gilt edges. 

Tissue guarded, frontispiece portraits. 

Small chips in the spine heads, a spine foot is beginning to chip and the leather spines are somewhat sun-faded (though the gilt decorations are still distinct).  Several board corners rubbed through, mild rubbing/fading of the boards.  Unmarked, square and tight copies. 

A good, not very good set.

Note: although the books were treated with a leather preservative, the leather is still shedding just a little.
