This rare model of a fully mechanical Olympus SLR was only sold between 1971 and 1972 in a seven month run.

This was due to a delay in production for the landmark OM series, and the fear that Olympus would lose market share. The FTL was Olympus' first fulle frame SLR, and features an M42 threaded Zuiko lens. This allows a greater choice of lenses as this system is interchangeable with other Zuiko lenses of the time not limited to Olympus products (something that previous and future Olympus products don't feature).

This camera at 52 years old has stood the test of time. There are some signs of age, but all in working order. Mechanical simplicity captures an image with such emotion and feeling that a modern frameless SLR just can't compete with.

Grab a piece of history, and take home something that can capture much more than just a photo.
