Japan c.1900 Meiji Period Series of Twelve Printed Letter Headings On Skimmed Wood With Matching Envelopes

All twelve are hand coloured, showing different highly decorative scenes, several of which show female figures in traditional dress. Each sheet is 4pp with the image accounting for the upper half of the first page, the 12 matching envelopes are also made in matching skimmed wood, though without any printing. No printer’s mark sadly. 

Approx. 120x180mm., and overall in very fine condition.
