The Jamaica 500 Dollars Banknote was issued by the Bank of Jamaica in 2022 to commemorate Jamaica’s 60 Years of Independence. The note is printed on polymer with purple print and multicolor underprint. Its obverse depicts Nanny of the Maroons and Samuel Sharpe. It also shows the Jamaican coat of arms and the independence logo. The reverse features building facades in Port Royal and a map of Jamaica. It was printed by De La Rue and bears a watermark that reveals Nanny of the Maroons and Samuel Sharpe. It also has raised dots for the visually impaired. It is 145 x 68 mm in size and is signed by Governor Richard Owen Byles (ROB). This commemorative polymer banknote is in uncirculated condition.
