Rare Antique Victorian Kimball & Morton Oscillator Sewing Machine Cast Iron Base.

A lovely rare Kimball & Morton sewing machine. We date this sewing machine to the late 19th century.

The wheel turns which controls the needle and the foot pedal/ treadle moves with no issues. However I do not know if the machine still sees etc.

Please note this machine has no drawers, instructions or cover.

There is some rust. The gold paintwork would be lovely if restored.

All the mother of pearl inlay appears intact.

The sewing machine features a cast iron treadle stand with the name Kimball & Morton on the foot pedal.

The tabletop is walnut with an extending table top to the left. The front of the table top has an inlaid measuring stick in inches.

The sewing machine is finished in black with gilded foliage and the name Kimball & Morton on the top.

The table has an overall height of 40" (102cm) with its coffin box, a table top height of 29” (74cm), a width of 34” (87m) and a depth of 16” (41cm).

When extended the table has a width of 41.5” (106cm).

This lovely sewing machine remains in very good solid condition with only minor surface markings commensurate with age and usage. The tabletop has some minor wear. There are some veneer chips around the edge of the table and some small chips to the black enamel to some edges on the machine base. The belt is present but worn.

This remains a very stylish and elegant sewing machine . It will continue to provide sterling service for many years to come.
