Royal Dutch Gazelle vintage professional cyclocross bike. I rode this as an all-around bike exclusively for 2 years; it's a charm. Gazelle didn’t only make big Dutch clunkers... And it turns out that they know a thing or two about cyclocross. This is a true bike-geek’s bike, put together about 4 years ago using many of the best vintage parts that I had. Vintage steel and the real pro deal as far as cyclocross goes, as it has no bottle bosses nor fender braze-ons, fork is not drilled, loads of tire clearance: - Reynolds 531, 54cm ctc - Vintage Campagnolo canti brakes, with Campy Super Record levers. - Suntour bar-end shifters, Cyclone front derailleur and the rear D is a long-cage Suntour V-GT Luxe. - Suntour 6-speed freewheel, 14-34. - OMAS hubs, crankset, bottom bracket, headset. OMAS was famous for building parts for Campagnolo and eventually earning a reputation for being better (depending on who is offering the opinion), using titanium parts for some of their components. - The crankset has an adapter to make it a triple (a triplizer): 52-42-32. This climbs the Gatineaus no problem. - The wheelset is a clincher wheelset, with Ambrosio rims, Continental Grand Prix 4 Seasons 32mm. - Campy Super Record seatpost - Brooks Swift saddle - 3T handlebar with leather bar tape - Shimano SPD pedals
