Beautiful Late (1938-39) 18" Composition Ideal Flirty Eyed Make Up Shirley Temple Doll in (Replaced) Vintage School Dress.
Exceptional flirty-eyed make up Shirley Temple Doll all composition, jointed at the neck, shoulders and hips. Lovely face with original painted facial features, renewed flirty eyes with thick brush lashes, painted lower lashes, eye shadow, feathered eyebrows, cheek blush and darker painted lips that the later dolls had. Open smiling mouth showing six upper teeth. Dimples on either side of her mouth. Original wig set in the "older Shirley" style - in curls around her face instead of ringlets all over. She is wearing a good condition but not Ideal factory made school dress. Back closure is small safety pins. Underneath she has her original white cotton onesie. Shoes appear to be original center snaps. Socks are vintage but may be replaced.
CONDITION:
Good aged condition. Facial features are in good condition. Her flirty eyes work better in one direction than the other - (pictured). Strung tightly - she can stand and pose. Moderate over all crazing. Composition has damage as follows: One finger is chipped, cracking where her neck meets her chest, cracking around the mark on her back and cracking with lifting on the interior of one leg - (all pictured).
