This is a hallmarked solid sterling silver fruit dish - not a silver plated surface

(at around the same time as the same silversmiths made the FA Cup!!)

The hallmark is Birmingham and dated 1909

There is a makers mark "F&S" by the hallmark, signifying Fattorini & Sons and their mark is in text under the base (see photos)

The dish has a triple ridge edge, repeated on the swing handle. This is a solid item showing almost no dents from usage. 

It is not overpolished so all the pattern and hallmarks are intact. See photos for detail.
