1943 1c Steel Cent Die Adjustment Strike NGC

NGC 1943 steel cent die adjustment strike. The coin is weakly struck, with much of the design missing on the obverse and reverse.  The error occurred when the coin was struck with insufficient pressure. This can occur when a press is starting up, or it can occur when the press is not striking at the sufficient pressure for other reasons.  Die adjustment strike steel cents are extremely rare, and an estimated 2-4 are known. NGC did not grade the coin, but we would grade is uncirculated.
