Wooden, handmade, inlaid Mason symbol. The spine comes off to allow faux book face to slide open to reveal a document compartment. Early 1900’s.

FLAW: the rear cover has a missing piece that would make up ‘cover flap’ (see last pic) After answering a question for someone, I looked the wooden book over and checked the description. Flaw doesn’t take away from book function, and away from view
