The Revstar Standard Series features a 5-position selector, focus switch, and a lineup of two types of pickups. The new standard model of Revstar with a wide range of sounds.
The RSS20 is available in 5 different colors inspired by café racers. The chamber-structured body, carbon fiber-inserted neck, 5-position selector, and focus switch provide a wide variety of sounds with high practicality.

The new generation REVSTAR
The REVSTAR series was introduced in 2015, and has been a major focus of attention as a new series of Yamaha electric guitars for over a decade. 2022 marks the evolution of the REVSTAR series to a new stage, incorporating newly developed technologies.

Innovation and Tradition
The REVSTAR balances Japanese innovation with traditional craftsmanship, following in the footsteps of Yamaha electric guitars dating back to 1966, but with modern features designed for playability, versatility, and tone.

The seal on the back of the REVSTAR head is stamped with the traditional Japanese seal, "Revstar" on the Element and Standard models, and "Made in Japan" on the Professional model, representing Japanese tradition and craftsmanship. The Element and Standard models are stamped with "Revsta" and the Professional model with "Made in Japan," expressing Japanese tradition and craftsmanship.
Chamber processing based on "Acoustic Design
Chamber processing based on Yamaha's acoustic analysis process, "Acoustic Design," has been applied to achieve rich sound and a lightweight body. In addition, carbon material was inserted into the neck to improve rigidity and tone.
5-position selector
The selector positions 2 and 4 allow you to get a halftone-like sound of a regular 3-single coil guitar without reducing the volume.
■Focus switch
The push-pull on the tone knob is Yamaha's original "focus switch. It has the effect of increasing the number of pickup windings, and allows for aggressive tone changes with an emphasis on the mid and low frequencies.
Pickups to choose from
The lineup includes the RSS20 and RSS20L with humbuckers and the RSS02T with a P-90 type single coil. Both pickups are Yamaha's proprietary pickups and feature powerful tones with Alnico V magnets.
