history of the Danube River valley. Written in 1683-4, this book offered
descriptions the Danube River and its environs describing the physical layout
and properties of the river as well as descriptions of states, provinces,
cities, and towns near and along the river. Note that this 1684 Italian edition
contains impressive folding engravings including maps of the environs!
In addition to the travel descriptions, this
book contains historical accounts and chronicles of the Austro-Turkish War of
1663-1664 and the Ottoman Empire.
