ABOUT THE STAMP:
The stamp, in a circular format and in golden color, symbolizes Brazil’s first gold medal at the Olympics games, won in the “quick pistol” category. At the top is the title of the issue. In the center is shown the target of the sports shooting, formed by ten hoops, with the number 10 in the center, representing the most precise and desired point by the competitors. The target is also flanked by laurel leaves, emblems of triumph, used since the first Olympic games in Ancient Greece to symbolize victory. The technique used was digital illustration.
