These 4 advertising pages were by Canon USA Inc. American importer of the Canon cameras.
1st ad (1978) has a photo of a Canon A-1 camera. There is a smaller photo of it with flash and auto-winder. Ad text starts “Hexa-photo-cybernetic. Technology this advanced deserves its own word” and goes on about the new camera.
2nd ad (1978) is similar to the 1st one. The main photo shows the A-1 with flash and auto-winder.
3rd ad (1979) has a photo of 4 Canon cameras. They are the AE-1, A-1, F-1 and AV-1 models. Above are 8 Olympic sporting photographs. Ad text starts “Only the best go to the Olympics” and goes on about the cameras and that Canon is the official 35mm camera of the 1980 Olympic Winter Games.
4th ad (1981)has a photo of a Canon A-1 camera. There is a smaller photo of it with flash and many lenses. The main photo is a fish-eye view of a glider in flight. Ad text starts “Hexa-photo-cybernetic. The possibilities are endless” and goes on about the new camera.
These ads are full page, each approx. 7” x 10”, carefully removed from actual 1978, 1979 and 1981 magazines.
