The pump builds up the hydraulic pressure of the SMG II for the various consumers (actuators) and stores it directly in the pressure accumulator. It consists of a gear pump and the driving electric motor. Due to the general heat problems of the SMG II, the engine is often damaged and is a common source of errors.
