"Mystic Dawn" I usually paint in pastels however this "Mystic Dawn" original was painted with oils.
While most Bedouins have abandoned their nomadic and tribal traditions for a modern urban lifestyle, they retain traditional Bedouin culture with all of its concepts. The Saluki dogs and the Arabian mare and foal are a part of that tradition. The Arabian is one of the most easily recognizable horse breeds in the world. It is also one of the oldest breeds, with archaeological evidence of horses that resemble modern Arabians dating back 4,500 years. Throughout history, Arabian horses spread around the world by both war and trade, used to improve other breeds by adding speed, refinement, endurance, and strong bone. Today, Arabian bloodlines are found in almost every modern breed of riding horse. I have been elected a Signature Pastelist with the Pastel Society of America entitling me to sign PSA on all of my originals, prints and correspondence. The International Artist Magazine has included me in the Master Painter Showcase and I have been published in the top artists magazines such as the Pastel Journal and The Artists Magazine. I have been fortunate to pursue and receive honors of ARTIST OF THE YEAR for: Valley Waterfowl Quail Unlimited The Safari Club The Dove Sportsmans Society I also won the contest to artistically represent world renowned architect Santiago Calatrava's Sundial Bridge in Redding, California. I also have enjoyed winning numerous awards in Juried and National Juried art competitions including Best of Show awards. These Giclee prints are on Epson Ultra Premium Presentation Paper with Epson archival inks from a professional Epson printer. The print will be on 8.5 X 11 inch paper allowing for matting in a 11 X 14 inch frame or you can adjust it to fit a 8 X 10 inch frame without matting.
