Why Are They On Sale ?
Gotham
in the USA was supplying short length interconnect cable assemblies
to an on-line vendor of effects pedals and synthesizers. The spec for
these assemblies called for at least 1/2" of visible black
shrink tubing at the connector entry. The assembly shop mistakenly
built one small production run where the black shrink was not visible
beyond the entry point. These perfectly good cables were not
compatible with the retailer's advertising images and inventory, so
we now offer them at a reduced price.
What Are They ?
Top Quality patch cables made with Gotham GAC-1 – a highly flexible, lightweight cable with renowned Double Reussen Shielding (two counterwound layers of hair-thin copper wire) protecting the 48 strand,oxygen-free copper 24awg conductor. Reliable Switchcraft 280 ¼“ connectors. These are the same components that Moog Music used in their own patch cables for their expensive re-issues of classic modular synthesizers
Available in several colors and 1, 2 and 3 foot lengths.
GAC-1 is particularly well suited for medium and high level interconnect applications such as synths, samplers, keys, effects boxes and modular synth patch cables. It offers industry-leading protection against Radio Frequency Interference (RFI) – a quality alternative to poorly shielded instrument cables with cheap Asian connectors. Gotham's GAC and Lincoln assemblies are professional products fabricated in the USA, and the performance of these assemblies will exceed your expectations when compared to the inexpensive import cables sold in music stores.
