Fine engraving from a steel plate by the Illman Brothers showing a young woman gathering flowers.  After a painting by G. F. Folingaby.

The Illman Brothers were a Philadelphia firm of engravers and printers, consisting of Edward, George, Henry and William Illman, active circa 1860 to 1907.  This engraving was in an envelope marked “1888 engravings.”

The engraving is on paper 7-1/4 by 10-1/8 inches, with an image area of 4-7/8 by 7-1/8 inches.  Some very light toning in white border consistent with the approximately 135 year age of this beautiful engraving. Ready for framing.
