Zircon is one of my favourite natural earth mined gemstones of all time.

This colour is is perfect for people who are after those natural earthtones. Fully saturated champagne/cognac with a suggestion of yellow throughout the entire gemstone. We find it very fitting that the name ‘Zircon’ derives from the Persian word ‘zargun’ meaning golden hued

Zircon is so special to me that I travel to Cambodia and spent five months overseas to source and hand select only the very best colour.please see the blue Ratanakiri zircons we have in stock in the most sought after blue colours.

This natural species has double refraction so facet junctions can appear doubled from certain angles making it appear fuzzy almost blurry . This characteristic is one of the ways to distinguish zircon from diamond or cubic zirconia as they are both singly refractive. this double refraction is a way to certify the gemstone as this is a natural occurrence in the species.

As they are hard they are ideal for jewelry and the colour range is truly superb. This is why at splendid specimens I have very unique and rare colours because they are simply my favourite.

A natural gemstone with the measurements of 7.80 x 5.90 x 4.15 mm
