These Were Collected Over Years While Looking To Add Original Stoppers To My Ginger Beer Bottles

 These Are Some Of the Best I have Found... In Exceptional Condition... Worthy Of Preserving Longer!!

 

For Sale: A Lot Of 4 ea. Stoneware Ginger Beer Bottle Screw Tops - Circa 1870 To 1930's...

#1.) 1 ea. Screw Top Stopper With: An Impressed 'T' Design "EMANUEL THOMAS - SWANSEA" Inscription

"Emanuel Thomas, Swansea, Glamorgan, Wales"  

Is listed in trades directories of Swansea, from the 1890's through 1950. 

In the early years they used earthworks flagons that required this type of a stopper. 

In later years they made health 'waters' in clear glass bottles.  

#2.) 1 ea. Screw Top Stopper With: "W. J. ROGERS Ltd. - BRISTOL" Inscription

"W. J. Rogers Ltd, 40 Jacob Street, Bristol, Gloucestershire". Founded - 1845. 

Registered in July 1894 with 25 tied houses. They acquired the "Maesteg Brewery Co. Ltd" in 1898

 with 42 public houses and closed that brewery. 

#3.) 1 ea. Screw Top Stopper With: "SIMONDS - READING" Inscription

"H & G Simonds Ltd., Broad Street, Reading, Berkshire". Founded - 1785.

Founded by William Blackwell Simonds, Simonds Brewery was a pioneer of Pale Ale in the 1830's including India Pale Ale which they exported to the British Army in India. They had a corner of the military market since 1813 when Simonds started to supply the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. By the 1880's Simonds was the largest Brewery in Reading England.

#4.) 1 ea. Screw Top Stopper With: A Wave Pattern

 There is no writing on the top or the sides of this stopper.

You could use it in any type of screw-top ginger beer bottle.
