The Epiphone "Inspired by Gibson" SG Standard brings back to life the legendary 1960's sound of SGs, which greatly influenced and contributed to the first generation of hard rock and heavy metal players such as The Who, Cream, AC/DC, and Black Sabbath. The sound of the SG Royal Road has been brought back to life in the modern age.
In keeping with the specifications of that era, the SG features a "Bat Wing" pickguard, two Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers, and Epiphone Deluxe tuners with an 18:1 ratio.
In addition, a Kalamazoo headstock, rolled neck for comfortable playability, GraphTech NuBone nut, CTS pots, and wiring that follows the methods of the past further enhance the appeal of this instrument.
