A beautiful late 19th or early 20th century carved wooden sewing etui case, Black Forest in style, with the original bobbin/needle holder. There is some damage, the base of the case has some fairly large chips, there is a 1.5cm crack running up from the base, and some of the thin veneer leaf overlays are missing from the main body. It is still a high quality piece with very fine carving, and displays well despite the losses. The bobbin/needlecase/thimble holder is undamaged.

It measures 12.5cm tall.
