- Exotic Maple Top & African Mahogany Body
An African mahogany wood body with rich mid and low range characteristics is laminated with a maple wood top that provides attack and sustain.
This is a limited edition model with only the most exotic grains selected. (The wood grain has its own character.)
- "RG j.custom Super Wizard" 5pc maple/wenge wood neck
The neck is made of a combination of 5pc maple and wenge (both thick woods) to return to a more natural sound-oriented design with full consideration for strength.
The neck is made of maple and wenge (both thicker woods) in a 5pc combination, and features an ultra-thin Super Wizard shape that is both easy to play and thin, ideal for players who prefer a lightweight grip to the limit.
The neck back has a "Velvetouch" finish that feels as comfortable in the hand as a guitar that has been played for many years.
- Makassar Ebony Fingerboard
The fingerboard is made of Makassar Ebony, which is characterized by its hardness, excellent responsiveness, and vertical persimmon wood grain.
The fretboard and head are covered in ivory. Ivory cell binding is applied to the fingerboard and head.
- j.custom Fret Edge Treatment
This is a custom treatment that rounds the edges like a sphere. This treatment requires a great deal of skill to make the fret edges spherical and also to align the shape of the fret edges.
Only a skilled craftsman can perform this process, which is done by hand, one by one. The smooth, stress-free feel can be felt when changing the position of the left hand.
- DiMarzio Pickups
Air NortonTM pickup for clear and warm sound at neck position, True VelvetTM pickup for bright and noiseless sound at middle position, and DiMarzio pickup at bridge position.
The bridge position is equipped with The Tone Zone, which delivers a powerful sound with a well-balanced output from high to low frequencies.
Like the old model, the humbuckers are installed in an escutcheon mount.
