Bullet pencil does not have an external eraser like later versions. Advertises Ratmeyer Farm Equipment of Forreston, Illinois. 10 pages printed both sides illustrating chilled plows and other horse drawn Oliver equipment.
Young Julius Strohmeyer used this notebook to keep track of the hours he worked for farmers near his home town. On page 1 he recorded the hours he worked for Mr. Van Riker planting corn and dragging bean ground. On page 2, he shows the hours he worked for Geo. Wright planting beans. He worked threshing and haying throughout the rest of the summer. Each entry shows the hours he worked.
The back cover inside contains a table of weights and measures. It looks like Julius worked out math problems in the back of the booklet.
