Each 100 g of gel contains aescin 1 g and diethylamine salicylate 5 g.
Reparil-N Gel is a special formulation in an alcohol base with a 3-fold action: Anti-oedematous, anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving. Aescin, in a form which penetrates the skin, inhibits the accumulation of fluid in the tissues and reduces tissue swelling. Local swelling, which causes sensations of heaviness and tension, is rapidly eliminated. It effectively combats inflammatory processes.The salicylic acid compound enhances the #anti-inflammatory action and is extremely effective for relieving deep-seated pain.In addition, Reparil-N Gel has the following advantages: Reparil-N Gel is transparent and penetrates rapidly and completely into the affected tissues; Reparil-N Gel does not make the skin greasy, does not smear and is therefore particularly clean and pleasant to use; Reparil-N Gel cools the painful area, is kind to the skin and is outstandingly well tolerated even on sensitive parts of the skin.
Indications / Uses:
In cases of contusions, crush #injuries, #sprains, #bruises, haematoma and tendonitis.Painful conditions of the vertebral column (disc lesions, neck pain, lumbago, sciatica).In superficial thrombophlebitis, varicose veins. For care of the veins after injections or infusions.
Dosage / Direction for Use:
Unless otherwise directed, spread a thin layer of the gel onto the skin of the affected area once daily or more frequently. It is not necessary to rub the gel into the skin, but this may be done if desired.
Contraindications:
Reparil-N Gel should not be applied to broken skin, mucous membranes or skin areas exposed to radiotherapy.
Special Precautions:
Reparil-N Gel should not come into contact with the eyes.Reparil-N Gel contains diethylamine salicylate and when applied or rubbed onto the skin, can be absorbed through the skin into the blood. For patients taking warfarin, excessive application onto the skin for muscle or joint pains may increase the chances of bleeding.Reparil-N Gel is for external use only.If condition worsens, or if symptoms persist for >7 days or clear up and occur again within a few days, discontinue use.Do not apply to wounds or damaged skin.Do not bandage tightly.
Side Effects:
Skin irritation, redness or swelling, burning or stinging sensation. Rare adverse reactions including dizziness and nausea may occur.
Interactions:
For patients taking warfarin, excessive application onto the skin for muscle or joint pains may increase the chances of bleeding.
