Condition: NewTabi running shoes, MUTEKI, are an innovative new type of footwear we developed. The thin and flexible soles, with a thickness of 5 mm, are attached to the bottom using our traditional Tabi making method, which allows for a greater degree of grip.


The soles are all hand sewn.

You can also wear these Tabi running shoes for walking.

Please make sure to read the Size Guide and also instructions below.


*If you wear Tabi running shoes with NO socks, we recommend going up 0.5cm to 0.7 cm (one half size or one size).

*If you wear Tabi running shoes with socks, we recommend going up 0.7cm to 1.0 cm (one size) .

*If you have a high and wide instep, we recommend going up one size.

Our Tabi running shoes are made in collaboration with Shoji Takaoka, a Japanese barefoot runner promotes this running style throughout Japan.

Mr. Takaoka asserts that running barefoot or in barefoot shoes can ameliorate knee and lower back injuries and help strengthen core muscles, which is beneficial for your entire body.
