Here's the perfect jacket for year-round use outdoors courtesy of sought-after menswear brand Private White VC. The smock was hand made in England; naturally it's of outstanding quality.

The smock is made from finely woven L24 Ventile in a traditional muted green cast. The smock is light but durable, windproof, breathable, water-resistant and very fast drying. Note that the smock is not fully waterproof, and will wet out in prolonged downpours.
Additional features of the smock include: an integral hood; a 1/2 length front zip with a press stud fastened double Ventile storm flap; a side zip at right hand side (as worn); press stud adjusters at the cuffs; a double layer of Ventile at the cuffs; draw cords in the hood and hem; kangaroo and tunnel pockets across the chest; a pocket on the upper left arm; articulated arms; ventilation eyelets in the arm pits; reflective seam taping - silver when lit up, grey without light; fabric bound seams on the inside; a partial polycotton lining across the shoulder; discreet Private White VC branding.
The smock has been lightly used, and is in very good overall condition - but please note the following minor flaws before you place a bid: a missing press stud fastener to the arm pocket (photo 16); a little light discolouration to the back of the hood - this may come out with a gentle spot clean (photo 17); a number of small faint marks elsewhere - all of which could be concealed with a judicious application of Greenland wax or similar (photos 18 to 21).
The smock is completely free of scent or odour, but may benefit from being washed and aired prior to use. Don't be fooled by the light creasing apparent in the pictures - this will naturally disappear with use.
In terms of sizing the smock is labelled '2', fits as a Small / Medium, and should be suitable for a 38" to 40" chest, depending on whether it's worn fashionably fitted or slightly loose for additional layers underneath.
The pit-to-pit measurement may appear generous - but bear in mind that pull on / overhead garments fit differently and are best worn on the large side.
Returns due to problems with sizing are not accepted for this item, so please consider the following measurements very carefully:
