Quilted sapele, curly genuine mahogany, hard maple and wenge laminated bass guitar neck blank.
The blank is made up of 9 pieces of wood. The center strip of quilted sapele is 0.94" flanked by 0.06" wenge, 0.2" curly mahogany, 0.06" hard maple, and .94" of wenge. We use a modified urea resin glue for our laminated necks. It is expensive, difficult to work with, but is the best glue for the application. It is a rigid glue and works great on tropical hardwoods.
The blank overall measures 36.25 X 3.46 X 0.91". I will supply extra pieces of wenge to widen the head stock.
The blanks are made up from kiln dried 8% MC or less stock. They are surfaced flat on both sides.
Four pictures of each side are shown wet with alcohol to pop the figure. 2 pictures of the blank dry are show too. Pictures are of the exact blank you will receive.
