Elliptical Transferware Compote Tazza

                          Unknown-6

This stunning elliptical molded centerpiece compote features a scene of the Mausoleum of Nawaub Assoph Khan by Mayer & Newbold 1817-1833.  Two other prints from the Daniells' "Oriental Scenery" were used in this pattern. The decoration on the dome is taken from "The Mausoleum of Mucdoom Shah Dowlut". The ruins on the right hand side of the pattern are from "The Western Entrance of Shere Shah's Fort, Delhi".  Moulding on this piece is a beautiful added touch as well as hand painted border details.  Unmarked.  Approx. 6"H X 10.5"W.
