The front of this frame is in very good condition with a rose in the center of the top. This is obviously a well-made frame although we don't know the maker.
At some point in its history the rabbet was widened on 3 sides.
The ORIGINAL RABBET dimension was 26 1/2" x 34 1/2" (it could be filled in and restored to that.)
CURRENT RABBET DIMENSION - 27" x 35 5/8"
OUTSIDE FRAME DIMENSION - 35" x 45"
