Here we have a very, very rare vintage (circa 1970s-80s) 6" Koestel wax figurine ornament from their Folkloric line, a big-eyed (for Koestel wax figurines, anyway) child (could be girl or boy) clown. They are dressed in a gold brocade tunic over light green velvet pants and a clown hat with a green ball at the end. They hold several stems of gold flowers, and have green wax feet -- quite unusual to have wax parts in any color other than creamy white. We were only able to find one other ornament like this one that has ever sold on eBay: it was sold in 2012 as an "Irish boy" figurine. Condition: Our photographs reveal the condition best -- please enlarge and zoom in on them, and examine them carefully. Minty -- very clean and very fresh with no signs of use. Hard to believe for an unboxed 40-50 year-old item, but true. No soiling or aging of any of the materials. Beautiful, quality piece for your collection.
