Maps of the individual towns are printed at a  scale of 1 1/2 inches to the mile; detailed village maps are enlarged from the original by one-half for clarity.  

The details shown throughout include most every structure in existence  at  the time (1858) with  the name of  the owner.  Of course, all roads, water courses, and prominent features  are  shown as well.  All in  all, a fascinating historical reference.
