About the Nitten Exhibition:
The Nitten is
Japan's most renowned and esteemed art organization, attracting the
participation of the finest artists from all across the country in its annual
exhibitions.
Established in 1907 by the Japanese Imperial Ministry of
Education, it was initially known as the Bunten show.
Subsequently, it underwent a name change to Teiten and, following the
reorganization of the Imperial Art Academy in 1937, became the esteemed Nitten
show we know today.
It remains the most prestigious and widely recognized art
exhibition in Japan, promoting artistic excellence.
