On November 10, 2023, the National Bank of Ukraine will introduce a new circulation commemorative coin "Antonivsky Bridge" into circulation. It is dedicated to the most remembered wartime bridge in Ukraine - one of the three key crossings across the Dnipro in the Kherson region, a strategically important facility for the region and the country as a whole. "For the anniversary of the liberation of Kherson Oblast from the occupiers, the National Bank minted a coin that will be in circulation every day and will symbolically remind us of the unity, courage and endurance of the Ukrainian people in the face of Russian aggression. A year ago, during the escape from the right bank of the Dnieper, the aggressor's troops blew up the Antoniv bridge, having destroyed several of its runs. And now it stands destroyed, but with unwavering determination awaits Victory and post-war recovery to unite the right and left banks of an independent and united Ukraine again. We believe that it will happen soon," the Head of the National Bank emphasized Andriy Pishniy of Ukraine. With the issue of this coin, the National Bank continues the practice of minting circulation commemorative coins with a military theme.
According to its characteristics, the "Antonivsky Bridge" circulation commemorative coin is identical to the ordinary 10 hryvnia circulation coin of the 2018 model. However, its reverse is thematic and contains a stylized image of the Antoniv Bridge and the Dnipro River from a bird's eye view, as well as traffic interchanges at both ends of the bridge, which make it interesting and original. The obverse of the coin is identical to the obverse of the 10 hryvnia circulation coin of the 2018 model, on it in the center, in the frame of the Old Russian ornament, the denomination of the coin, the year of minting and the coat of arms of Ukraine are placed. Like all other circulating coins of Ukraine, the circulating commemorative coin "Antonivskyi Myst" is mandatory for acceptance at face value by all individuals and legal entities without any restrictions throughout the territory of Ukraine for all types of payments, as well as for enrollment in accounts, deposits, letters of credit and for payment transactions.
