This antique brass gooseneck table lamp is an Art Nouveau piece from the 1920s or possibly earlier, perfect for any collector or lover of vintage items. The lamp has a tripod cast iron weighted base covered with a sheet brass casing, which has an art nouveau stylised tulip bulb shape. Screwed into to the base is an 8 inch (20 cm) long vertical brass tube which has the original 12 inch ( 30cm) long flexible brass gooseneck fastened to it.  Attached to the top of the gooseneck is the original brass cased ceramic lamp switch holder, which has the integral top screw and brass swivel lamp shade. The lamp has been rewired with a pale brown coloured braided three core cord and a modern three pin plug fitted with a 3 amp fuse. The original brass case switch holder has had an earth connector attached to it. The original switch is marked on and off. The lamp comes complete with an LED B22 bulb and is for UK 240 volt three pin supply.

The lamp stands a maximum of 73cm tall with a medium size and 16cm diameter, which makes it ideal for a reading table. The lamp comes with an antique patinated brass finish and a student shade shape. Weighs 1.263 kg unpacked

It should be noted that this lamp is an antique item made as a reading lamp. The length of the gooseneck and diameter of the base may possibly not meet modern stability standards however, it has been used in our home and is a beautiful, stylish and very useful antique item.  It's a unisex item that would look perfect in any room and is sure to be a conversation starter.
