The VBW-3500 and VBW-3000 are modern reproductions of the teardrop basses that made VOX indispensable in the British music scene in the late 1960s.
Lightweight semi-acoustic basses that follow the teardrop design synonymous with VOX bass guitars.
Semi-hollow construction with a hollow body carved from solid mahogany and a maple top provides a boxy feel while suppressing feedback.
The neck is made of five layers of maple (three layers of maple and two layers of walnut), resulting in a thin yet strong neck.
The pickups are made of Alnico material and equipped with VOX's original bass pickups, which have a vintage style, yet have the power and sound that can be used in today's music scene,
The pickups are specially designed for the VBW series, including the pole piece spacing and number of coil windings.
The pickguard, control panel, and pickup escutcheon are still made of the original chrome-plated metal material.
The VBW-3500 uses flame maple for the body top.
Painted finish with wood grain and wooden binding. Two color variations are available: blue burst, which shows the flame maple grain, and traditional sunburst.
